Treating Osteoarthritis with Chicken Collagen – OROGOLD Reviews

OROGOLD Cosmetics recently came across two different studies which show that chicken collagen can prove to be particularly useful when dealing with Osteoarthritis. Often called “Wear and Tear” Arthritis, osteoarthritis is a chronic condition that can commonly occur in the joints. This issue usually occurs when the cushion between two joints breaks down, thereby leading to swelling, pain and stiffness. Both these studies were conducted by Bioiberica and submitted before the World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases that was held in Milan recently. Both studies also used the B-2cool collagen that can be commonly found in chickens. The Type 11 collagen, a primary protein that can be found in joint cartilage, usually tends to break down for people suffering from osteoarthritis, thereby leading to further joint degradation. Chicken collagen is believed to help out by regulating the inflammatory response.

The first study that OROGOLD would like to talk about was conducted by researchers from the Eskisehir Osmangazi University. This study tried to examine the efficacy of chicken collagen on human subjects. A total of 39 patients who were diagnosed with osteoarthritis in their knees were chosen for the study. The participants were assigned into two different groups. The first group was treated with 10mg of b-2cool chicken collagen and 1500mg of paracetamol on a daily basis while the second group was offered 1500mg of paracetamol daily. The researchers used the WOMAC (Western Ontario McMaster) Method to quantify pain and the VAS (Visual Analog Scale) Method to measure mobility among participants. The results of the study showed that there were significant improvements when it came to increased mobility and reduced joint pain for the group that was offered chicken collagen in combination with paracetamol.

The second study that ORO GOLD would like to discuss was conducted by researchers from the Florence University. The researchers discovered that offering a dose of 10mg/kg each day could help in reducing inflammation as well as joint degeneration in rats suffering from osteoarthritis. The researchers had initially injected monoiodoacetate in the right knee joints of these rats to bring about equal levels of osteoarthritis for the study. The rats were then observed for two weeks and offered daily doses of chicken collagen together with CMC. On the other hand, the control group was only offered a daily dose of CMC. The performance and weight bearing capacities of these rats was subsequently observed to understand the benefits that chicken collagen had to offer when it comes to osteoarthritis.

Both these studies show that chicken collagen holds a lot of promise when it comes to offering significant benefits for those suffering from osteoarthritis. As medical science develops, we should find a number of treatments and solutions for issues that were once considered to be untreatable. OROGOLD is excited with various wonders that the medical industry has in store, particularly when it comes to the use of collagen.
